This project was a collaboration with John McNulty of Fireshark Design.
The Dells Cabin’s site was developed from a template construction. The Home page of the website kept inline with the template structure. This was the first time I had worked with a template style sheet and the first time I worked with pre coded styles other than my own.
The template was inconsistent in its presentation of link styles and colors, list styles and bullet images, and the use of font families and font colors needed to be minimized. I reworked the Home page styles for a consistent look and feel that could be used as a launching board for the remaining page design.
Following the Home page, I broke away from the template styles and created my own CSS and HTML coding with only the most basic elements of colors, fonts and column grids for a consistent look throughout the site. The design works because of the consistent theme and ability to translate as one coded style.
